Extended Aesop’s localization infrastructure to support Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese (Taiwan), and Cantonese (Hong Kong), enhancing regional accessibility and enabling growth in East Asian markets.
As part of Aesop's global expansion, the localization framework was upgraded to cater to the linguistic and cultural nuances of users across China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. The frontend was extended using React with i18next, allowing seamless integration of language packs and dynamic content rendering based on locale.
On the backend, I integrated translation APIs and custom LLM pipelines using LangChain and OpenAI API to automate first-pass translations for marketing and transactional content. This was combined with human-in-the-loop review systems, ensuring quality assurance for brand-sensitive copy.
